Over the past 30 years Indigo worked as an eco tour guide throughout Australia. She was a multi-lingual indigenous certified interpretive guide at Uluru/Kata Tjuta National Park, and spent years in the ecotourism industry. Subsequently she was the administrator of academic departments at the University of Sydney, before relocating to Mexico to undertake risk assessments as a sustainable tourism consultant, whilst also consulting as a professional translator.

Indigo relocated to Kaikōura to be closer to her passions: the mountains, ocean and marine wildlife. She is currently authoring a children’s book series titled ‘ORCA: The Oceanic Rescue Club’, regarding threats impacting the marine environment.

Indigo believes in a cooperative community approach to achieving the Trust’s vision, and hopes that together we can all become better custodians for ‘Planet Ocean’.
